BrisTechTonic is a Bristol SEO agency that helps UK businesses get found on Google, the local map pack and the AI assistants they now ask, like ChatGPT and Perplexity. A fast website is one built lean from the start: tidy code, images and video sized correctly, careful control over what the browser has to load first, and modern hosting, rather than a heavy template with a plugin bolted on to hide the weight. It matters because Google uses speed as one thing it looks at when ranking pages, because slow pages put customers off, and because the AI tools now browsing the web need a page that loads quickly. We build for speed from the first line rather than trying to claw it back later.
Slow sites are rarely slow for mysterious reasons. They are heavy: oversized images, scripts that hold everything up, bloated templates and third-party add-ons piled on until the page crawls. A caching plugin hides some of that, right up until a real visitor on a normal connection loads the page.

We avoid the weight rather than paper over it. A lean build, careful control over what loads first, and modern hosting mean the site is fast for the same reason a well-built engine is efficient: because of how it is made, not because of what is bolted on afterwards.
A slow, clumsy site leaks the demand you already paid to earn.
These are industry figures, not our own results, and we do not invent numbers. They show why speed and clarity are revenue, not decoration: the traffic is the expensive part, and a slow build spills it. No result is ever guaranteed.
What does Fast websites cover?
Real page speed, measured on real visitors
How fast the main content appears, how quickly the page responds when you use it, and whether it stays still while loading, all built in and measured on real visitors, so the result reflects what your customers actually experience rather than a lab test.
Explore →Right-sized, modern media
Images and video sized correctly and saved in modern formats, so the biggest things on most pages are no longer the slowest to load.
What loads first: fonts and scripts
Fonts loaded without holding up the page, scripts held back or removed, and the essentials kept short, so the page shows something useful quickly.
Server response and delivery
Hosting, caching and how quickly the page starts to load, all handled on our own platform, because the server sets the limit everything else has to work within.
Explore →Ready for AI agents
The same speed and steadiness that help your customers also help the AI tools now browsing the web, which can only use a page that loads fast and stays still.
Explore →Kept fast, not just launched fast
Sites tend to slow down as they change. We keep an eye on the speed so a new tracking tag or template does not quietly undo the work.

What clients say about working with us.
“I've had the pleasure of working with Chris on several SEO projects for my websites in the health field. He was definitely been able to demystify things so that I felt able to make decisions with him and feel confident they were the right ones. For a non-techie, that is worth gold! I look forward to working with Chris again and warmly recommend him to anyone who - like me - is unsure about all things SEO.”
“I was recommended by my branding partner to use Chris and his team last year. I can’t recommend them highly enough. They are very responsive , easy to communicate with and great at translating techy stuff when needed. They are now an essential part of my business model”
“We've been working closely with Chris, Hannah and the team for over 12 months now. As a small company with ambitious growth plans, it was incredibly important that we made the right choice on who to trust with our SEO. 18 months later, we're totally thrilled with our experience so far and our growing online presence within our market. We'd happily recommend BTT and their services to other SMEs. Drop them an enquiry!”

The way we run Fast websites.
Build lean
We build the site with tidy code and correctly sized images and files, so it is fast before we even talk about tuning it.
Measure the real numbers
We check the speed using data from real visitors, not just a one-off lab test, so we are fixing what your actual visitors experience.
Fix at the source and monitor
We deal with the real causes in the code and hosting, then keep measuring so the site does not slow down again over time.
How do we approach Fast websites?
Lean by construction
We hand-build with tidy, purposeful code instead of stacking plugins on a heavy template, so there is far less weight to strip out in the first place.
Fast loading as a target, not a hope
How quickly the page loads, how soon you can use it, and whether it stays still instead of jumping around are all planned from the start and measured on real visitors, not just a one-off test on launch day.
What the browser loads first, controlled
Images, fonts and scripts are the usual reasons a page is slow. We size them correctly and hold back the ones that are not needed straight away, so the browser is not kept waiting.
Fixed at the source
We treat speed as an engineering problem with real causes, so our fixes deal with the actual cause rather than hiding the problem behind a plugin.
Real people doing the work, and putting their name to it.
You deal with our small, experienced Bristol team directly, from the first call to every monthly report.

Are we the right fit for you?
Thinking of switching from another agency?
Moving your Fast websites to us is more straightforward than staying somewhere that is not working. You keep everything you already own, we pick up without a gap, and we can run the whole thing for you or work alongside your team and your developers, whatever suits.
A free look first
We review what your current agency has done, tell you straight what is worth keeping and where the quick wins are. No obligation to move.
You keep what's yours
Your site, content, Google Business Profile and analytics stay in your name. We work with what you already have; nothing is held hostage.
A clean handover
We map the work across, set a plain-English baseline in the first few weeks, and carry on from there. No starting from zero, no quiet ranking gap.
Three-month minimum, then rolling monthly on 30 days’ notice. No long lock-in, no exit fees.
Speed engineered, and honest about limits?
On a site we build, the speed is entirely ours to own. On a site we did not build, we are straight with you about what can be fixed and what is baked into how it was made, and we work alongside your developers or a specialist when a fix sits inside something we do not control.
Engineered in on our own builds
When we build and host the site, the speed is our responsibility from the first line of code to the live server, with nowhere for the weight to hide.
Honest on sites we did not build
If the site is on a platform or code we do not control, we work out the cause and are clear about which fixes are ours to make and which sit with your developers.
We work with your team where needed
Some speed fixes live in a custom-built app or a part of the site your engineers own. We hand those over as clear, written tasks and work alongside your developers or a specialist rather than pretend it is ours alone to change.
Fast websites: common questions.
Will you actually make it fast, or just tell us it is?
On a site we build and host, we build the speed in and measure it using data from real visitors, not a flattering one-off test. You get real numbers, not adjectives.
Can you speed up our existing site?
Usually there is real, fixable waste in images, scripts, templates and third-party apps, and we start there. Where the limit is baked in, or the fix lives in code your team owns, we say so and work alongside your developers rather than promise something we cannot control.
Why is a lean build faster than a plugin?
A plugin hides the weight behind a cache. A lean build never creates the weight in the first place. There is simply less for the browser to download and work through, which is why it stays fast in the real world.
Does speed really affect rankings and sales?
Yes to both. Google looks at page speed when ranking, and slow pages clearly lose sales and, increasingly, get in the way of the AI tools that browse on a customer's behalf. It is one of the clearer links between the technical build and money coming in.
What if the slow part is our developers' code?
We work out the cause and hand it over as a clear, prioritised task with the exact change and the reason for it, then work alongside your team to get it done. We are clear about which fixes are ours and which are theirs.
