The short answer

BrisTechTonic is a Bristol SEO agency offering local seo that gets UK businesses found on Google, the local map pack and the AI assistants they now ask, like ChatGPT and Perplexity. Local SEO is the work of getting found by buyers in the specific places you sell into. We build genuinely relevant local pages, strengthen your local signals and Google Business Profile, and earn local coverage, never a thin doorway page per town, because those get filtered and do not last.

AEO included as standardFrom £299 + VAT / month3-month minimum, then 30-day rolling

Ranking locally comes from three things: a genuinely relevant page for the area, consistent local signals and citations, and a credible Google Business Profile, supported by local coverage. Thin templated pages for every town do the opposite; Google filters them and they can drag the whole site. We do the real version.

What it covers

What does local seo include?

Substantive local pages

One real, useful page for each area you serve, genuinely relevant to that place, with evidence you are actually there and content a local customer would value. The opposite of a copy-and-paste page with just the town name swapped in.

Explore →

Google Business Profile

Where you genuinely have a presence, a well-set-up, consistent Google Business Profile is central to appearing in the map results. This is a planned dedicated part of the service, covering your categories, keeping your details accurate, and looking after the profile over time.

Explore →

Local citations and signals

Your business name, address and contact details kept consistent across the online directories and listings that Google cross-checks. When these disagree with each other it quietly undermines everything else, so we get them tidy and keep them that way.

Explore →

Multi-location and service-area SEO

Whether that is several branches or a whole region covered from one base, each location gets a real page with its own reason to exist, never a set of copy-and-paste pages that compete against each other.

Explore →

Local digital PR

Coverage in local and regional press that builds the place-based reputation local rankings depend on, earned through genuine stories rather than bought links.

Explore →

Local intent and competitor mapping

Understanding how each target area behaves, who already holds the top map spots, and where the realistic openings are, so the plan goes after demand you can actually win rather than every town on the map.

How it works

How does local seo work, step by step?

1

Map the places worth competing for

We start from where you genuinely sell and where there is real demand, then check the current map results and Google listings in each. Some areas earn a page; some do not, and we say so.

2

Audit your existing local footprint

We review any current location pages, your Google Business Profile and your directory listings for consistency and thin content, so we fix what is dragging you down before we add anything new.

3

Build substantive pages, one area at a time

Each priority area gets a real page written for a local buyer, with genuine relevance and no templated filler. We would rather ship fewer strong pages than a filtered set of weak ones.

4

Strengthen signals and the profile

We tidy your directory listings to a consistent standard and, where you genuinely have a presence, set up the Google Business Profile properly so it competes in the map results.

5

Earn local authority

We pursue coverage from local and regional publications that gives each area a credible reason to rank, coordinated with the wider digital PR work rather than run in isolation.

6

Measure by area and adjust

We track how visible you are in the map results and Google listings for each location, see which areas are moving, and put the effort where it is winning business rather than spreading it evenly for the sake of it.

FOUND IN GOOGLE & AI

Will AI recommend you when buyers ask about local seo?

More of your buyers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI before they ever click a website. We build the structured, credible, well-cited content those assistants quote, so local seo points them to you and not a competitor. The answer-engine layer is included in every package, never sold as an extra.

Are we the right fit?

A good fit if you…
You want local seo to bring in the right enquiries, not just more traffic or vanity metrics.
You want to be found in Google and in AI answers, and you value plain-English reporting.
You want a named person on your account who explains what they're doing and why.
Probably not for you if you…
You want guaranteed rankings by next month. This work compounds, and we won't promise that.
You want the cheapest option over the one that actually moves the numbers.
You're not ready to give access to your analytics and site, which we need to measure anything.

Why us
Who does the work, and the standard it is held to

Local SEO is one of the easiest places to cut corners and one of the fastest to backfire, which is why we run it as proper, hands-on work rather than templated output. The same experienced people who scope your local plan write the pages, review the profile and handle the citations, drawing on years of combined agency experience of what Google filters and what actually holds a position. We tell you which areas are worth competing for and, just as importantly, which are not.

“I've had the pleasure of working with Chris on several SEO projects for my websites in the health field. He was definitely been able to demystify things so that I felt able to make decisions with him and feel confident they were the right ones. For a non-techie, that is worth gold! I look forward to working with Chris again and warmly recommend him to anyone who - like me - is unsure about all things SEO.”

Biliana Avramova

“I was recommended by my branding partner to use Chris and his team last year. I can’t recommend them highly enough. They are very responsive , easy to communicate with and great at translating techy stuff when needed. They are now an essential part of my business model”

Sandra Webber

“We've been working closely with Chris, Hannah and the team for over 12 months now. As a small company with ambitious growth plans, it was incredibly important that we made the right choice on who to trust with our SEO. 18 months later, we're totally thrilled with our experience so far and our growing online presence within our market. We'd happily recommend BTT and their services to other SMEs. Drop them an enquiry!”

Common questions

Before you get in touch.

Do we need a local office to rank locally?

For the organic local page, no; relevance, signals and authority do the work. For the Google map pack, a verifiable local presence helps considerably.

Are location pages doorway pages?

Only if they are thin. We build one substantive, genuinely useful page per area, which is the opposite of a doorway and what actually ranks.

Can you help with Google Business Profile?

Yes, where you have a presence to verify. A strong, consistent profile is central to the local map pack.

Do you do multi-location SEO?

Yes, whether that is several branches or service areas across a region, each handled as a real page, not a template.

How many local pages should we actually have?

As many as there are areas where you genuinely sell and can be genuinely relevant, and no more. We would rather build five strong pages than fifty thin ones, because thin pages tend to get filtered out by Google and can weigh down the whole site.

We serve a region but only have one office. Can we still rank across it?

For ordinary local pages in Google's results, yes, through genuine relevance and reputation for each area. For the map results in a given town, actually having a presence there helps a great deal, so we are honest about where the map is realistic and where the ordinary listings are the better target.

How long does local SEO take to show results?

It varies by area and how competitive the map results are. Improvements to your profile and directory listings can show fairly quickly; earning good listings and map spots in a busy city takes longer. We report on each location so you can see progress rather than wait in the dark.

Will more location pages always mean more traffic?

No, and this is the trap. Beyond the areas where you are genuinely relevant, extra pages add thin content rather than reach and can get you filtered out by Google. We stop at the areas that earn their place.

Can you fix location pages a previous agency built?

Often, yes. We review what is there, merge or rewrite the thin pages, put right inconsistent directory listings and profile details, and keep what is genuinely useful rather than starting from scratch for the sake of it.

Do you handle multi-location and multi-branch businesses?

Yes. Each branch or service area gets a real page with its own reason to exist and its own local detail, arranged so your locations support each other rather than compete.

Read the full breakdown of local seo

Local SEO is the work of getting found by customers in the specific places you actually sell into. When someone searches for something nearby, whether or not they type the town name, Google reads their location and reshapes the results: a little map with nearby businesses, local listings, and info panels that can win the click before anyone even reaches your site. Doing well here is a different job from ranking across the whole country, and it rewards being genuinely relevant over simply having lots of pages.

It matters commercially because local intent sits close to the point of purchase. A buyer searching for a supplier, a firm or a service in their city or region is usually ready to act, and the businesses that show in the pack and the top local results take a disproportionate share of that demand. Get it right in the areas that matter to you and you compete for the highest-intent traffic there is. Get it wrong, or fake it with thin pages, and you can drag the rest of the site down with you.

Our approach is deliberately the opposite of the copy-and-paste trick that still dominates this space. We do not churn out a near-identical page for every town with just the name swapped in, because Google spots that pattern and it rarely lasts. Instead we build one solid, genuinely useful page for each area you actually serve, strengthen the local details and Google Business Profile that the map results rely on, and earn local coverage that builds real reputation. It is slower and more honest, and it is what holds up over time.

The right shape depends on how you sell locally. A single office competing across a region needs a different plan from a multi-branch operation or a service-area business with no shopfront. We size the work to that reality first, so effort goes into the places with genuine demand and a genuine reason for you to rank, rather than a template stretched across a map.
